Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Anaya LLC, licensed in Sharjah Media City (Shams), United Arab Emirates ("Anaya", "we"). By creating an account or using the Anaya app, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
What Anaya does
Anaya plans your family's meals and your children's lunch and snack boxes, writes the grocery list, and gives your helper each day's tasks and recipes in Tagalog or English. A parent approves each week's plan before the helper gets her tasks.
What Anaya doesn't do
Please read this part carefully.
- Anaya isn't medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If someone in your family has a serious allergy or a medical diet, follow their doctor's advice.
- Anaya checks ingredients against the rules you set: the allergies you pick from Anaya's list, your school's food rules (for school boxes) and the diets you choose. It checks the ingredients of the dishes and boxes Anaya plans from its own recipes. It doesn't check:
- allergies that aren't on Anaya's list;
- dishes you add yourself, except for the ingredients Anaya recognises;
- notes you write for your helper;
- the written cooking steps and preparation notes;
- what is actually bought or cooked, product labels, or cross-contamination in a shop or kitchen.
- The person cooking and the parents stay responsible for what is served. Check labels, especially for anyone with an allergy, and follow safe food handling, including keeping packed boxes cool.
- Anaya plans food. It isn't an employment, payroll or performance tool. Anaya doesn't vet, rate or monitor your helper.
Who can use Anaya
- Parents must be 18 or older and live in the UAE. A parent creates the family's account and is responsible for the information entered about the family.
- Children don't use Anaya. A parent enters their details.
- Helpers can join a family with an invite code from a parent, using their own account. A helper can delete her account at any time. By inviting your helper, you confirm she has agreed to use Anaya.
- Each person signs in with their own Apple or Google account. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under it.
Free trial and subscription
This section applies once subscriptions are available in the app.
- The first 14 days are free, and you don't need a card to start.
- After that, Anaya costs AED 150 a month, including VAT, for the whole family. Your helper's account is included.
- You subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, and they take the payment. The subscription renews every month until you cancel it.
- Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
- If we change the price, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- If the free trial ends and you don't subscribe, Anaya stops planning new weeks. Your family's details stay in your account until you subscribe or delete your account.
Your content
- What you enter stays yours: your family details, notes, favourite dishes and photos.
- You allow us to store and use it only to run Anaya for your family, as the privacy policy describes.
- When you add a recipe from a photo or a link, make sure you're allowed to use it for your family. Anaya keeps the dish name, its ingredients and amounts, and the link, not a copy of the page.
Using Anaya fairly
Please don't:
- use Anaya for anything unlawful, or to harm or harass anyone;
- enter someone else's personal details without the right to do so;
- try to get into another family's data, or into our systems;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or overload it with automated requests.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Unless it's urgent, we'll tell you first and explain why.
Changes and availability
We keep improving Anaya, so features can change. We try to keep it running all the time, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. If we make a change that matters to these terms, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time (Parents: Home → your avatar → Settings → Account → Delete account. Helpers: your profile → Delete account). Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that too. What deletion removes is set out in the privacy policy.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under UAE law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
- Otherwise, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Because Anaya isn't medical advice and doesn't check everything (see "What Anaya doesn't do"), we aren't liable for harm that comes from relying on it for something it doesn't do.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. If we can't solve a problem together first, the courts of Sharjah decide it, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
If you use Anaya on an iPhone
These terms are between you and Anaya LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it, including product liability claims, claims that the app doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you.
